With deep roots in Minori on the Amalfi Coast, Marco Alimentari is a proud family-run business dedicated to sourcing and supplying authentic, high-quality Italian food products.

 

Founded in 2008 by Marco and Stacey D’Urso, the business was built on a story that began decades earlier. In the 1960s, Marco’s grandfather, Nonno Giuseppe, ran his own Alimentari in Minori — a neighbourhood shop where food was chosen with care, tradition mattered, and quality was never compromised.

 

That same passion was passed down to Marco’s father, Ivano, whose love for Italian food, culture, and hospitality led him to supply sandwich bars, coffee shops, and restaurants for over 25 years. Through this work, he built lasting relationships, shared authentic Italian flavours, and upheld the values of honesty, craftsmanship, and pride in provenance.

 

Since the global pandemic in 2020, Marco Alimentari evolved to meet changing needs, opening its doors beyond the trade to supply households as well as professional kitchens. What began as a way to support customers and local communities during uncertain times has grown into a lasting part of the business, allowing home cooks to access the same trusted products used by chefs and restaurants.
